Portable engine test tool with additional accessories
Essentially, the CarScope i-Testeris a specialized type of engine analyser. It is a complex, multi-function tool which can assist engine diagnosis and find engine problems. i-Tester can be used on both gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles.
Currently, there are 2 modes available: the relative compression test and the Common Rail pressure test; several automated diagnostic tests are upcoming with future firmware updates!
No oscilloscope knowledge needed. You can skip training and the preparation time of an ordinary oscilloscope and directly start a quick, precise engine analysis.
- Non-invasive test
- Test is completed in seconds
- No pressure transducer required for relative compression test
- No mechanical work required (no removal of spark plugs, glow plugs, injectors prevents damage to engine components)
- Simply disable the fuel system to prevent engine from starting and flooding the cylinders
- No oscilloscope required
- No previous skills required
- No waveform analysis knowledge required
- Based on scientifically backed theory
- Proven in practice for many years
- Useful tool for all situations (no scope / laptop required)
- No current clamp required for DC voltage testing method
- 2.4" TFT LCD 320 х 240
- No external power supply required
- Three channel measurement - 3 measurement channels for using a variety of voltage / current probes simultaneously
- Reverse polarity protection
- The relative compression mode helps quickly find low compression cylinders
- Relative compression test function and automatic waveform analysis
- Ultra-fast boot time
- Simple to connect and use, intuitive buttons
- Internal Micro SD card to save and review measurements
- Works with four-stroke-cycle, diesel and gasoline engines
- Works with 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12-cylinder cars
- Works with DIS, conventional and Coil-on-Plug ignition systems
- Only 12 V electrical systems are supported
- Excellent industrial design
Reasons to perform a relative compression test using i-Tester
A compression test has to be performed when the engine shows the following symptoms:
- Engine misfiring
- Rough idle
- Loss of power over time
- Unexplained loss of power
- Smoke from the exhaust
- Puffing noise in induction or exhaust
Check the engine health in the following cases:
- When buying a preowned vehicle
- Before ECU remapping to evaluate engine status
- Periodic prevention check
- When it is challenging to access the spark plugs in order to perform a common compression test

AC/DC Current clamp CA-600A
The CA-600A current clamp, together with the CarScope i-Tester, is ideal to execute relative compression tests.
The current clamp can meassure up to 600 A (alternating or direct current). Invading the current or disrupting the isolation is not necessary because the cheeks can simply enclose the conductor. No electric contact is required.
