OP-COM is a professional diagnostic system specifically designed for Opel. All Opel vehicles with OBD2 port until approximately model year 2017 that are up to the communication standards ISO-9141-2, KW81, KW82 and KWP2000 (ISO-14230) are supported.
This diagnostic system consists of Windows-based OP-COM software and an interface hardware for connection to the vehicle. With this equipment you are able to read out multiple diagnosis functions and real-value displays. Through the clear arrangement and the ease of use, the program is easy to understand even for inexperienced computer users. Furthermore, due to the licence dongle functionality, the systems are multi-workstation capable.
The OP-COM Advanced was additionally developed for users who reinstall used control devices. Furthermore, you are able to, even in newer vehicles, read out the security code of control devices like for example engine control units, instrument clusters, information displays and radios and to register vehicle immobilizer components that have not been registered previously.
Possible applications:
- Read and delete the error memory
- Display of expansive real-value displays
- Programming of control devices
- Configuration of the EHU and radios (MID, CID, GID)
- Coding of additional equipment (for example trailer hitch)
- Resetting of Lambda-probe parameters
- Programming of immobilizers of the I., II. and the III. generation
- Programming of keys with radio remote control
- Reading out security codes
- Programming of the kilometre reading
- Resetting of used control device without PIN
Note:
Software for repair, adjustment or restoration of the original kilometre reading is legal. We must explicitly point out that we sell a diagnosis and repair software and distance ourselves from any misuse. Fraudulent manipulation of milometers is still punishable in accordance with §22b of the German road traffic act.

What has to be considered when using the OP-COM Advanced version?
Is it not a crime to adjust the kilometre reading?
The excessive manipulations of speedometers and the resulting public pressure made the creation of a law, which makes the manipulation of milometers punishable, necessary: And so §22b German road traffic act was created.
The core intention of this law is to protect the consumer from fraud when purchasing a vehicle. Since the introduction of this law there had been legal uncertainty if repairs on speedometers and the software needed to do so are illegal, so the Federal Constitutional Court made clear: Software for repair, adjustment or restoration of the original kilometre reading is legal.
Quote: With the creation of § 22 b paras. 1 no. 1 German road traffic act the lawmakers did not intend to make each form of influence on the milometer, for example for the sake of adjustment or repair, liable to prosecution.
Rather, the criminal provision aims for the preventive abatement of fraudulent deception about the actual kilometre reading of vehicles in the field of used car trade. However, there is no falsification if the milometer is acted upon for the purposes of repair, adjustment, conversion or data restoration, because these actions are aimed at ensuring or restoring the proper functioning of the milometer, i. e. at displaying the actual kilometre reading of the motor vehicle.
