The tester MS021 enables the accurate evaluation of the technical condition of alternator diode bridges or diodes – separately. The tester identifies the type and specifications of diodes, reports about the failure mode and diagnoses the diode degradation.
Application:
The tester MS021 is used during alternator repairs for the diagnostics of diode bridges, and it can detect the following:
- diode breakdown
- diode cut
- diode type (common diode, avalanche diode)
- diode degradation (extreme drop of forward voltage)
- avalanche diode reverse breakdown voltage
- bad diode connection with the bus bar
