With this breakout cable, the voltage values of numerous sensors and actuators in the engine bay can be read out. Simply connect the breakout cable to the present cable harness and pick up the output signal of the 4mm banana plug with a premium test cable (TA125 to TA128) into the vehicle oscilloscope. The breakout cable allows access to the separate wires to enable testing with a current clamp. That way, you can measure, for example, the injector power and the injector voltage.
Please note:
The test line is required to transform the 4mm banana plug connection on the plug pin wire into a BNC plug which is suited for connection to the PicoScope.
Please read the instructions before using the breakout cable. Wrong connections can cause the oscilloscope unit to short circuit. Short circuits can seriously damage the device which will then need to be repaired at your own expense.
The signal pins must be identified with circuit diagramms or by other methods. Regardless of the number of pins, the colors of the Pico plug connectors are manufactured as follows:
- Pin 1 - green
- Pin 2 - red
- Pin 3 - blue
- Pin 4 - yellow
- Pin 5 - white
- Pin 6 - black
