Significantly upgrade your Audi Q5 8R FACELIFT MODEL with the OPTICAL display of the original parking assistant (rear).

Here we provide you with a upgrade package for your already present original rear parking assistant system - you will then have the optical display of the 4 PDC sensors in your multimedia system.

This optical display is possible in pre Facelift models through coding.

In the later Facelift models, installation of the provided components is required to establish the optical display.

NOTE:

Facelift model = FROM model year 2013 (like 2013, 2014, 2015) / rectangular radiator grille
Pre Facelift model = BEFORE model year 2013 (like 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008) / "round radiator grille"

Generally, retrofitting the original parking assistant (rear) to a parking assistant WITH optical display is possible in all AUDI Q5 8R Facelift models of all model years and all trim levels with the following built-in multimedia systems:
- Radio Concert
- Radio Symphony
- MMI3G Basic without hard drive navigation (= PR number 7T2 / the front, non-installed sensors will be shown as occupied in the MMI)
  - NOT suited for models with Radio Chorus or MMI3G+ with hard drive navigation (= PR number 7T6).
  - NOT suited for models WITHOUT original parking assistant rear.

Installation manual:

The present parking assistant system will be re-plugged in the right service hatch in the luggage compartment with the provided adapter and plugged into the provided control device (which is factory installed in the luggage compartment as well).
The provided original AUDI Q5 8R control device will then be connected to the vehicle (+12V, 0V, CAN-BUS).
The provided warning buzzer will be connected to the control device - simply replace it with the already present warning buzzer.
The factory installed parking assistant technics will be deactivated - the newly installed system will be activated.
- The parking assistant system will continue to function - ALL functions are still present and available (for example activation when in reverse gear, deactivation when using a trailer hitch, the possibly installed rear view camera etc.)
- This original warning buzzer is still adjustable via the multimedia system in pitch / frequency.
- Taking off the bumper etc. is NOT necessary.
- With this product, we will upgrade the pre Facelift model technics in your Facelift modell.
  - With this, the optical display which appears immediately when shifting into reverse gear is also possible in your Facelift model.

Alternatively, we can offer you the retrofit package of the parking assistant front - you will then have the optical display of the front + rear PDC sensors.
- This retrofit package is also available for order with the article number: KE15301.
