The PicoScope oscilloscope will turn your laptop or PC into an efficient diagnostic tool. The appropriate software "PicoScope" and "PicoDiagnostics" enable the diagnosis on personal vehicles, motor cycles or utility vehicles and are filled with special automotive knowledge. Although most customers purchase the oscilloscope as part of a kit, we offer it separately so you can assemble a kit suited to your requirements.
The PicoScope 4823 is a high definition 8-channel automotive oscilloscope. Thanks to its speed it is perfectly suited for CAN, CAN FD and FlexRay including serial data decoding. It is configured for automotive probes and includes more than 150 tests to execute as well as access to thousands of examples to compare in the Pico wave-form library.
Why an oscilloscope with more than 4 channels?
There are some specific applications that require 6 or more entry channels, like:
- V6/V8 cam switch gear (4/6 cams plus crank, sometimes WPS) and VVT time switch gear
- Lorries, construction and farming machines that a technician requires a combination of electric and hydraulic measurements on multiple valves simultaneously for, to diagnose problems of the system interaction
